I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
